The Cascadia Growth Fund for Unitarian Universalism Board is committed to supporting UU congregations in the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia, and Alaska. This Board offers a unique opportunity for interested leaders to support a strong tradition of Unitarian Universalism among seventy congregational neighbors across what we call ‘Cascadia.’
The Cascadia Board manages the Cascadia Growth Fund and oversees Cascadia Chalice Lighters, managed by volunteer Coordinators. It is important to us that our board represents the geographic area we serve and that we are as diverse as possible.
If you have knowledge of and leadership experience in the congregations we serve (or if you know someone who does), we would love to hear from you!
Serve as a Cascadia Chalice Lighter Ambassador
Are you interested in helping your congregation qualify for a Chalice Lighter grant? Do you want to help smaller congregations get important funding? Consider being a Chalice Lighter Ambassador in your congregation.
Vital to the program’s success, Chalice Lighter Ambassadors act as the liaison between a congregation and the program’s Coordinators.
An Ambassador represents Chalice Lighters in a particular congregation by helping members understand and support the program. They give UUs who want to support neighboring UU congregations an accessible way to do so. Ambassadors may also help their congregation qualify for Chalice Lighter grants.
