Applications for Chalice Lighter grants may be submitted at any time by Chalice Lighter Congregations. See Chalice Lighter Grant Information for details on becoming a Chalice Lighter Congregation.

Schedule for Application Submission

Applications for a Chalice Lighters grant are requested to be submitted at least one month prior to a call to be considered for the next available appeal.

  • Call 1: February 1 (application due January 1)
  • Call 2: June 1 (application due May 1)
  • Call 3: October 1 (application due September 1)

IMPORTANT! Before an application for a Chalice Lighter grant can be submitted, that congregation must be a Chalice Lighter Congregation. Learn more about becoming a Chalice Lighter congregation.

Step 3: Fill out and submit your application one month before the next call. See schedule.

Please email your completed application and all attachments in a PDF document format to chalicelighters@cascadiauu.org. The Chalice Lighter Coordinators will be the primary contact for grant related communications with you.

Step 4: Post Project: A follow up report on the grant expenditures is required, including photos and statements of the impact of improvements made with the grant money. We want to share your story of success!

Important Note: Groups planning to initiate a new congregation must acquire “emerging congregation” or equivalent recognition from their national organization before a grant is awarded.
