West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

December 20, 2021

In 2021-22 five small to mid-sized Portland, OR area congregations partnered on a collaborative anti-racism project. Ministers met for six months to engage the issues together, and to plan a joint training for their congregations. In January 2022, over 100 people from six congregations took the training.

Subsequently, West Hills UU Fellowship passed the 8th principle; the UU Church of Vancouver (WA) began a Beloved Community Working Group focused on building intercultural competence in the congregation; and the UU Congregation at Willamette Falls began studying anti-racism and anti-oppression as a congregation — their first work on this issue.

These are solid, worthy outcomes of our collaboration. Thank you, Cascadia, for helping us with this important undertaking. It wouldn’t have happened without your support!
